This New Orleans–based comedian has taken the stand-up world by storm. Mark Normand may have a strange, nasally voice, but it works wonders when it comes to the rapid-fire zingers he delivers on stage. His approach may seem lighthearted, even casual, but make no mistake: Normand’s stand-up routine is thoughtful and calculated, lightly beating the audience over the head with musings on everyday hypocrisies, social norms and morality. This has helped Normand become one of the best-known working standups in the country. He’s even earned kudos from Jerry Seinfeld, which makes sense considering Normand is the spiritual successor to Seinfeld’s irreverent but insightful observational style.
