Born in Denver in 1999 and trained in the Suzuki method, Mia Asano is a prodigiously talented and boundary-pushing electric violinist. Asano’s work deftly spans genres including classical (her foundation), new age, industrial, heavy metal and progressive rock. Asano has toured with a variety of artists that exemplify her pan-genre approach to her artistry. Debuting on record with the 2021 single “Lunar,” a collaboration with fellow violinist Jason Anick, Asano has yet to release music under her own name, focusing instead upon collaborative recording and live performance. Opening the show is Deadgrace, a saxophone-guitar-vocals female rock duo from L.A.
