The 3rd Annual AAPI Playwright Festival will be celebrating the rich and complex AAPI voices while also highlighting the rich history of SJ Japantown. It is hosted by the Contemporary Asian Theater Scene (CATS). This festival brings forward bold, fresh, and new theater and helps build community around this form of storytelling. It will feature six short works by six artists. These works may offer glimpses of new plays in development. Most importantly, the works reflect the lived experiences of AAPI communities. This event is perfect for the seasoned theater attendee, a curious new attendee, or a passionate supporter of AAPI arts.
