Chicago-based Mariachi Herencia de México debuted in 2017 with Nuestra Herencia; the album soared to the top of the Latin music charts. Their follow-up release, Herencia de la Tierra Mia (2018), and three further albums were critical and commercial successes. Built on a foundation of traditional mariachi music, the Latin Grammy-nominated group takes the form to new and exciting places. The group’s sixth album, 2024’s Our Latin Thing (Nuestra Cosa), continues the group’s winning approach, one that pays tribute to the culture and tradition while charting a path toward the music’s future.
