Twentieth anniversaries are big things. When something turns two decades old, it calls for a celebration. Particularly when it comes to great albums, especially when it comes to The Greatest. In 2006 indie artist Cat Power released her seventh album to lots of fan fare and critical acclaim. Until this point she was a relatively obscure artist, known to hipsters and underground artists. However, The Greatest put Cat Power on the mainstream map when it debuted at number 34 on the Billboard 200 and became number six on Rolling Stones’ Top Albums of 2006. As they say, after that the rest is history.
