Roaring out of Fort Lauderdale in 1997, Nonpoint began their career as an indie band before landing a major label deal in 2000, releasing Statement that year. Nonpoint’s musical style reflects the mix of influences of its members: nu-metal, hardcore, industrial, blues, R&B, and grunge. The band’s tenth and latest album is The Last Word, set for release September 18. The album’s advance single, “Red Yeti,” showcases the complex, blindingly fast and aggressive style—tempered with strong vocal harmony work reminiscent of Queen—that has earned Nonpoint a following. Spineshank opens.
