Formed in France in 1979, Gipsy Kings are culturally rooted in the Romani and Catalan cultures of northeast Spain. Their music is a rich synthesis of flamenco, salsa, rumba and pop. While Spanish is the primary language of their music, the group has often performed in English. Boasting a deep catalog of more than a dozen albums (several of which are Grammy-nominated or -winning), Gipsy Kings have long been at the forefront of the international musical scene.
