Carson, California based R&B and soul singer Trish Toledo has a voice that would’ve fit on Motown’s early ’60s roster and she’s found a band that is able to match it, laying down tracks suitable for close dancing under the twinkling lights of a makeshift dance club in a pleasantly sweaty basement. Growing up in an Ecuadorian-Guatemalan family, with a musician father, music has always been a part of her life. It was her son who encouraged her to put music front and center again, after she took a decade and a half break to focus on raising him. The world owes this kid a high five.
