Shoegaze has come back in a major way, but not only that, it’s matured. It’s grown. And the guys in Los Angeles’ Young Lovers understand that more than anyone. It’s one of the major themes driving their sophomore album, The Circle’s End, which dropped in June. The album is beautiful and melancholic and chaotic, all the things that make the genre so immersive. And this Saturday they are playing the Jade Cathay with a five-band line-up featuring The Albert Square (who are doing a record release party), friendship games, Christian Francisco and Granny Nix–who is also throwing a record release party.
