Seven novels exist between Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë, whose sibling power dynamics shaped their uneven rise to fame. In Underdog: The Other Other Bronte, Anne Brontë steps out from the long shadow of her famous sisters and confronts the literary machinery that elevates some voices while silencing others. Blending humor with pointed insight, this sweetly irreverent and fiercely intelligent story wrestles with ambition, jealousy, and the ways of legacy. This performance is the Bay Area regional premiere of Sarah Gordon’s new play, directed by Wynne Chan and starring Raven Douglas, Aleisha Lew, and Naomi Murray as the Brontë sisters. Goes until Nov 22.
